Tired minds don’t plan well.
In the beginning of a change
the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
-Mark Twain
Quiet people have the loudest minds.
Learn to be silent. Let your quiet mind listen and absorb.
Up-close and yellow
How softly summer shuts without the creaking of a door
Scattered rain showers
Fly-fishing is solitary
Come sail away with me

Actually, we need to fix the boat.
The last time we were out on the lake
we made a wrong turn and ended up in some
really thick weeds.
We eventually made our way through them,
and back out on the lake.
I cleaned it out good while still on the water,
but I guess some got in where it shouldn’t be.
So, now it will need a new water pump and
while we’re at it we’ll change the gas pump.
Hopefully it will do the job.
We haven’t got out on the lake as much as we usually do.
There’s nothing worse than having a boat
that just sits and doesn’t get used.
You need to run it.
Summers not over yet and when the fall colors start
I want to be there with my camera on the water.
