A random lake

a random lake
This is where most of summer is spend. It’s a small town and lake about ten minutes away. It is nice and quiet most of the time although there’s a handful of days when it gets crowded and we have to park in the overflow parking lot. One of those off the beaten path kind of places. There’s a pizzeria in town too that we like to go to. You walk in and it has that thick smell of garlic, tomato sauce and dough and everywhere you look you see red and white checked table cloths. Oh and they have ice cream too.

red bobbers in process

red bobbers
This painting is still in process but it seems to be coming along nicely. I like the way you can see the tackle box around the edges. I like using the color red so the different colors of red make it even more striking. Lastly I think the subtle effects of light and shadow is what will complete this painting.
