I did two versions of this oil painting on canvas.
The first one was called Boardwalk and this one is called Riverwalk.
The first one sold to someone I knew and this one I won an award to my
surprise. I captured this late ambient light right before sunset.
It was very fleeting

I took this photo while out on a nature walk at a place called the Lion’s Den.
I want to go back again because I did not go down the long steps that brought
you right down to Lake Michigan. I only got the view from above. This place is.
no secret and there’s limited parking which is always.
full and you’re not allowed to park on the road they will give out tickets.
This town was in the news last year because some flamingos showed up out of
nowhere which is very rare for this area. Thoughts were the hurricane in
Florida did something to throw them off course and sent them north.
