Getting on and off the lake

This is one of my in-process paintings.

I am using a combination of three pictures to create this one painting.

I feel like it is telling a story.

I like the look of the water and sky,

but I need to really work on the trees and obscure the buildings a little more.

This Random Lake is 10 minutes away from where I live.

I love this lake.

We go swimming here all summer.

You can catch some really nice large and small mouth bass,

and we have seen people catch and release musky.

I can’t wait to finish this painting.

I’m not a fast painter

I work in oils, so I need time in-between for my painting to dry

so, I usually have a lot of paintings going at one time.

Refuge from the rain.

Look who showed up yesterday on our deck

looking for refuge from the rain.

It was pouring out

and it actually did hail for alittle while.

Flew away a few times while we inquired

but came back right away when we weren’t looking.

Say’s I like it here and I’m staying put.
