Writer is at work even when he is simply looking out the window.

You should live in a manner that should enable you to devote time to writing and contemplation. As is often said, the writer is at work even when he is simply looking out the window.

I can’t stand to think…

I can’t stand to think my life is going fast and I’m not really living it.
Ernest Hemingway
The worst thing about being an artist

“The worst thing that being an artist could do to you would be that it would make you slightly unhappy constantly.”
J.D.Salinger
Rest is not idleness

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”
― John Lubbock, The Use Of Life

Pelican captured in flight

I took a road trip up north to go fishing. Seeing these gorgeous pelicans on Lake Winnebago and on the Fox River was a nice surprise to watch. I took pictures with my new Canon Rebel camera which I am very happy with because it’s easy to use fast focus and a picture every time. People here were catching catfish and sheep head. Although they did not keep the sheep heads instead they were tossing them back at the birds and they were diving and catching the fish thrown with one gulp with their huge bills.
