Just because of a deer #note

The other day a majestic deer jumped out in front of me.

I could actually see his horns. It’s that time of the year when they start to grow back and they have a soft velvet on them.

Everyone saw him, and my braking brought everyone’s attention front and center. It was a moment of enjoyment. and I thank God I didn’t hit him.

I have buggy bars on the front of my truck. It’s necessary because I have hit 3 deer in the last 10 years and missed many more. We were going to work. My daughter who was supposed to just work there for the summer decides that she’ll stay on and not go to school yet. This is the second summer for my son who will attend college again this fall.

It’s nice driving together with them, even though everyone is tired in the morning. Priceless. We have great conversations about art, movies, memes, and our weekends. Oh, and food like what’s for lunch and what we think we’re having for dinner.

I don’t cook my husband is in charge of that. I guess I didn’t make the bar but I do make my suggestions, like we had liver and onions last night. Yeah, I know not everyone’s favorite, some people just shake their heads but our parents and grandparents instilled this in us. My kids liked to eat it growing up too which I thought was strange because I as a kid hated liver, but my husband is an exceptional cook.

We are trying to cook from scratch with no more processed foods. Meat and vegetables have less carbs. Everyone has their own ideas of what to do this is where we are right now.

My husband went to a wellness doctor. So we have been changing our diet according to some suggestions. One was to throw away all the salt and buy sea salt instead. We now put sea salt in our bottled water just some added electrolytes.

We need more exercise. We went swimming on the weekend that was fun. We played catch in the water they are trying to teach me how to throw. I need all the help I can get. I am better they are good teachers.

Went fishing on Tuesday. Odd night not many people out. Caught three fish and kept 2 largemouth bass. It was wonderful out there not humid a perfect temperature. After we dropped the boat off we tailgated for a while and talked.

My life is simple and I like to take lots of pictures. When I’m not I’m usually painting.

I want people to know there’s a connection between my life and my art.
